Well, Here we are. Since 2013 I've wanted a website of my own. I've made several previously on sites like freewebs, and I even made one on Wix when it relied on flash. I've got the files of a website a friend made for me in high school that I briefly hosted on a free domain. Now, I'm making one to document my dev work and general creations and I'm determined to stick with it. A place of my own in the internet..
So I guess my first post should be about how this site came to be and what I'm hoping to do to build it up, just so I can reflect on this and read it later on. At the time of posting, I'm nearing the end of university, studying game design and development, as such everyone was assigned the task of creating an online presence and portfolio for one of the modules. Most defaulted to wix to make websites, me included. I Initially made the website with 4 pages: The home page, attempting to give a professional front; A Specialities page, listing some of my talents specifically to tick some boxes for uni; The Work page, A panel of screenshots of art and game projects I've worked on and finally a Contact page, so people could send me messages through the website.

Starting off, I'm making this blog page and I'm also going to be getting rid of the "Specialities" page. It isn't interesting and doesn't really have a purpose now. This blog page will give me motivation to update the site and to document my stuff hopefully. I'm going to be writing about how my projects are doing and posting videos and screenshots of stuff I find entertaining. The welcome page will change over time however it isn't a huge priority right now, the core of the website is going to be worked on before this. In addition to this, I'm going to swap the colour palette from the red and black to a more lilac/blue colour to match my better logo's palette. Also I've got to fix the site to work on mobile.
Aside from these initial plans, I'm just going to start tweaking the site and doing whatever with it. After all, I'm the only one paying attention to it for now, probably. Here's hoping things turn out well.
